The 2nd International Workshop on Distributed Agent-Based Retrieval Tools will be held in Cagliari at the Cittadella dei Musei, on September 10, 2008. DART 2008 is aimed at highlighting the cutting edge of search engines' technology and applications, fostering information exchange between researchers working on various fields, such as distributed and pervasive systems, Semantic Web and Web services, mobile and personalized services and applications and compare their efforts against users' and industry's needs and expectations as well as at increasing mutual awareness and cooperation between ongoing projects on advanced search systems around the world.
