Implementation of a mass consistent 3D wind interpolator on GPU

In this report we present a simple 3D mass consistent wind field interpolator algorithm, using sigma (p/ps) as vertical coordinate, and discuss the results, in terms of computational efficiency, obtained implementing it on a NVIDIA GPU. Significance of the GPU parallel implementation is evaluated both against the serial version of the code and against an MPI version.
