Discontinuous finite element visualization
CRS4 Bulletin 1998, CRS4, Center for Advanced Studies, Research, and Development in Sardinia - 1998
The aim of this research line is the study and implementation of appropriate visualization techniques for finite element data in two and three dimensions. In particular, we are dealing with unusual situations such as field discontinuity and deformed cells. Such data is produced for example by chemical simulations, by fluid dynamics simulations, or, in general, anywhere high accuracy on boundary domain description is required.
