This article presents a software architecture whose main goal is supporting the coordination operations during the management of an emergency and in particular during a population evacuation from a risky urban zone. The developed infrastructure helps decision makers to find suitable solutions in choosing the areas to clear first, in finding the shortest path for vehicles to get out, and in verifying the accessibility of the established routes. The paper describes the multimodal system and all the actors involved. The system is distributed on several workstations and reachable from given devices like personal assistants. A specific application explains how each component works and how the required data are used, integrated and updated. It also describes a simulation module based on a multi-agent system integrating several human behavioral parameters and fortuitous factors, that has been set up to test the system given the impossibility to do it in effective emergency condition.
