Dynamic structural analysis of the cngs target rods; graphite cl2020pt additional analyses

The dynamic structural behavior of the CNGS target rods in the CNGS facility was studied under the thermal load due to a fast extracted proton beam hitting off axis. The results of several simulations with different materials are shown on the master document [9]. In this extension the results obtained with a reviewed design of the rod and with updated material properties are shown.
