Here we detail current means to access Multi-spectral Satellite imagery for use over the island of Sardinia. In particular, we describe methods applicable of ESA’s Copernicus Sentinel- 2 data and for NASA/USGS Landsat 7 and 8 data. Our focus is on graphical illustration of the concepts involved and in documenting many links to the currently available internet resources: this is in lieu of a formal bibliography. The image data can be freely downloaded from a variety of online portals as we describe the ins and outs of the various options, in detail. We also indicate some avenues towards the processing of such data for Land-Use Applications
