Fostering inclusive regional access to Sentinel-2 data

Here we detail a web based approach that gives an ergonomic view of the Multi-spectral image data available from ESA’s Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellite over the island of Sardinia. Web calendars provide the entry point in the form of month-view visualisation. The approach is motivated by reference to a basic HTML JavaScript calendar and then elaborated via the use of web extension applied to Google Calendar pages. Mosaic like multi-tile view-panels allow for a synoptic view of the imagery available over Sardinia on any particular calendar date. Clicking on a given tile starts a dialog that allows the tiled product data to be directly downloaded. Our focus is on graphical illustration of the concepts involved and in documenting many links to the currently available internet resources: this is in lieu of a formal bibliography.
