Pool sloshing effects during seismic events - PASCAL 2dn (Virtual) Progress Meeting

Vincent Moreau, Manuela Profir
Misc - december 2021
Presentation performed during the second (virtual) progress meeting of the PASCAL European Euratom Project. WP4: Integrity and resistance Task 4.2: Pool sloshing during seismic events Sub-task 4.2.2: Numerical simulation and support to the experimental campaign. Summary of the activities performed during months 7 to13: - More academic review - Reference behavior map - Driving idea for the 1st experimental campaign (a) From qualitative to quantitative (b) Follow the transient development - Many additional tests - Identification and acceptable resolution of issues: (i) mass (non-)conservation (ii) Un-physical gas-phase peak velocities (iii)Slow reciprocal contamination of liquid and gas (iv) Parasite currents at rest: initial condition issue
