ANSELMUS 2nd Technical Review Meeting Task 3.1.2 Numerical simulations supporting the COMPLOT Safety Rod experiment

The work performed in the last 6 months of the ANSELMUS project is presented. A preliminary CFD stationary model of the Safety Rod test section was developed and simulations were performed (without displacement) based on the updated conceptual design shared by SCK CEN. The preliminary numerical results confirm the relevant values of maximum LBE velocity, free-surface level difference, and the drag forces (without displacement). The milestone MS10 "Pre-test simulations completed – feedback to design" is achieved.
